2016 KTM 500 EXC | Motorcycle Buyer’s Guide
With an open-class motor in a race-competitive frame, the 2016 KTM 500 EXC is a serious dual-sport machine when it gets off-road. High-end bits are plentiful, from the WP suspension to the Keihin fueling system, chromoly frame, Neken fat bars, standard handguards, and a back-up kickstarter.
For quick changes on dusty days, the air filter can be swapped without tools. Those who want to go on adventurous rides, however, will need to invest in a larger fuel tank from KTM Power Parts or the aftermarket.
