2016 Indian Scout

Featuring a liquid-cooled, DOHC motor that is decisively oversquare and revs out to produce over 100 horsepower, the 2016 Scout is Indian’s performance cruiser, rather than another retro recliner.

With its weight down to 558 pounds with the 3.3-gallon tank filled, the 2016 Indian Scout is a fast machine. Still easy to handle around town thanks to a 25.3-inch seat height, the Scout does have a fairly relaxed 29 degrees of rake, so it is not overly fussy about rider input. Cornering clearance is over 30 degrees, enabling the Scout to perform in canyons without dragging too often.

  1. I have taken several really good looks at this bike and really like it, especially compared to the overweight horrid models in the rest of the Indian line up. Take those terrible fenders and exhaust off and you have a great bike, I am a VROD owner and see a lot of what I love about my bike in this one too. HD ruined the VRSC lineup in 2012 when it reduced the rake and minimized the fenders and put that ridiculous wide tire on all of them and find these bikes al lot more attractive. Looking forward to test riding one and maybe an extra added bonus is if these sell well they will stop making the entire Horrid Victory line up which is a joke from their “Style” to the names they give them.
