The novice-friendly upright naked sportbike from Honda is back this year. The 2023 Honda CB300R is unchanged from last year, other than the introduction of two new colors— Pearl Dusk Yellow and Matte Black Metallic—as well as the price. For the first time, the CB300R will cost more than $5k, with the MSRP hitting $5049.
It is powered by a friendly 286cc short-stroke motor with enough horsepower to take on the freeway, as long as you’re willing to rev the little thumper.
Sound you find yourself in the local twisties, the motorcycle handles quite well, as we found out in our test of the Honda CB300R. Dunlop Sportmax GPR-300 radial tires grip the road tenaciously, so newer riders can confidently hone their sporting skills.
When it comes time to slow down, a 296mm front disc works with a 220mm disc on the rear wheel to cut the speed of the ultra-light 317-pound sportbike. ABS is standard, which is helpful if you get on the brakes too hard.
The ergonomics are comfortable for all-day rides, and the 2023 Honda CB300R makes for a fantastic urban commuter motorcycle thanks to its agility, thrifty fuel consumption, and friendly 31.5-inch seat height. Honda’s Neo Sports Café styling makes the CB300R an attractive bike to be on when pulling up to your favorite destination.
