2024 Foxborough Supercross Fantasy Picks, Tips [9 Fast Facts]

After a week off to prepare for the five-race sprint to the finish of the 2024 Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship Series, it’s time to get back to the complex and thankless job of making picks for your RMFantasySX.com leagues. You know the drill, and it sounds easy—pick the top five finishers and a Wild Card, which is P9 for the Foxborough round at Gillette Stadium. Well, it’s never as easy as it seems, and that’s what makes our 2024 Foxborough Supercross fantasy picks and tips indispensable. As always, pay more attention to the tips than the picks.

2024 Foxborough Supercross Fantasy Picks and Tips: Jett Lawrence
Jett Lawrence.
  1. Despite having a couple of oddball rides at the last two rounds, Jett Lawrence remains the prohibitive favorite. Jett is simply faster than everyone else, so he’s still the pick to win.
2024 Foxborough Supercross Fantasy Picks and Tips: Cooper Webb
Cooper Webb.
  1. Cooper Webb continues to keep himself in the hunt for the title. Webb has been in the top five at the last six races, with four podiums and two wins over that stretch. With two P2s in the previous four rounds, Webb is the P2 choice.
2024 Foxborough Supercross Fantasy Picks and Tips: Chase Sexton
Chase Sexton.
  1. Chase Sexton is still the P3 choice. Sexton has five top-fives in a row, including a pair of P3 finishes during that run. Plus, Sexton’s three P3 finishes are more than any other rider this year.
2024 Foxborough Supercross Fantasy Picks and Tips: Aaron Plessinger
Aaron Plessinger.
  1. Aaron Plessinger has finished in P4 at the last two rounds. That’s a trend that’s likely to continue.
2024 Foxborough Supercross Fantasy Picks and Tips: Ken Roczen
Ken Roczen.
  1. With two P5 finishes in the last five rounds, Ken Roczen is a strong P5 choice at Foxborough. Roczen had a rough St. Louis Triple Crown. However, before that, he was on a 5-3-2-5 run. Expect him to bounce back. Along with Plessinger, Roczen’s seven top-five finishes beat out everyone other than the Big Three—Lawrence, Webb, and Sexton—who have nine top-fives each in 12 rounds.
Eli Tomac.
  1. Eli Tomac and Hunter Lawrence are worthy of top-five consideration, but they’re risky. Tomac is on a 7-7-6-1 run—he is impossible to predict. Hunter Lawrence has rebounded from injury with an 11-7-3 scorecard over the last three rounds. Hunter did benefit from the stumbles of his brother, Sexton, and Roczen at the St. Louis Triple Crown, which is part of racing. Hunter could be a solid top-five choice by the end of the season, but not quite yet.
Justin Barcia. GasGas
Justin Barcia.
  1. Darker top-five horses are Jason Anderson and Justin Barcia. Anderson has five top-five finishes in the first six rounds. However, in the next six rounds, he has just one top-five. Barcia has only one top-five this year, a P3 at round 3 in San Diego. However, Barcia’s 14-11-9-8-9-6 run shows that he is moving in the right direction, and a top-five for Barcia isn’t out of the question, something I wouldn’t have said in the middle of the season.

Husqvarna's Malcolm Stewart

  1. As always, the Wild Card is a challenge. P9 is the position up for grabs. Justin Cooper looks good, having gone 10-8-9 over the last three races. Malcolm Stewart is a strong possibility. Stewart has been within two positions of P9 at all of the previous nine rounds—a steady run. Anderson’s 10-11 performance at the last two rounds makes him a reasonable choice. Stewart’s record of being in the P9 neighborhood over the nine rounds coming into Foxborough is enough to make him my Wild Card guy.
Yamaha YZ450F. Justin Cooper.
Justin Cooper.
  1. If you’re someone who is concerned about the weather—I’m not—it will rain on Friday but should be dry, or close to it on Saturday. There’s only a predicted two percent chance of rain when the racing starts at 7 p.m. on Saturday. However, there is a 100 percent chance of rain on Friday at Gillette Stadium, so there probably won’t be any press day action.
