Jett Lawrence leads his brother Hunter.

Jett Lawrence extended his Moto win streak in the AMA Pro Motocross 450MX class to 24 at the 2024 AMA Pro Motocross Nationals opening round at Fox Raceway at Pala. Jett Lawrence was kept honest in Moto 1 by his brother Hunter and Chase Sexton in Moto 2. However, Jett led every lap at Fox Raceway on his way to his 12th consecutive overall 450MX victory, having won every 450MX race he has entered.

Hunter Lawrence ran in P2 the entire first Moto and the opening eight laps of Moto 2. Sexton, who crashed in Moto 1 after a mediocre start and came back to finish in P4, passed Hunter for P2 on lap 9 and dogged Jett for the remainder of the afternoon. Hunter’s 2-3 day gave him P2 overall, and Sexton’s 4-2 performance earned him the final spot on the podium.

Dylan Ferrandis rode a 7-5 day into P4 overall, tying on points with Justin Barcia, who went 6-6. Justin Cooper’s 5-8 scorecard was good enough for P6 overall. Jason Anderson crashed in the first turn of Moto 1, and worked his way up to P10. Combined with a P4 finish in Moto 2, Anderson was P7 overall. Anderson tied on points with Aaron Plessinger, who finished on the Moto 1 podium with a P3 result, but a first-turn crash relegated Plessinger to P12 in Moto 2 and P8 overall. Malcolm Stewart (8-7) took P9, and Phil Nicoletti landed the final top 10 overall spot with a 9-9 day.
