The 2024 KTM Adventure Rider Rally dates and location have been set, and the 19th edition of the annual event will be held in historic Deadwood, South Dakota.
The Rally begins on October 10 with the 2024 KTM Street Demo Tour demo day. There will be 15 street-legal KTMs available to ride. With the street portion of the event out of the way, it’s time for two days of adventure riding. The loops are designed with all skill levels in mind, and riders are sent out in self-guided groups of no more than four skill-matched riders. Riders would want to form groups have that option.
KTM distributes GPS tracks, and riders must provide track-compatible navigation units. For safety, a Spot, InReach, or other personal locator beacon (PLB) is required.
Terrain in the Deadwood area includes dirt/clay roads, double-track trails, and rocky sections for the most adventurous. Highlights of the routes through the Black Hills include Spearfish Canyon and Devils Tower.
There will be Riding Technique and Technical Riding Seminars for riders who want to brush up on their technical skills. Adventure-related vendors will also be on hand.
Several meals are included in the event, starting with the pre-event dinner on Thursday, and extending to three breakfasts and Saturday’s Awards Dinner. Participants will have the opportunity to mingle with KTM Adventure Ambassadors Ryan Dungey, Marvin Musquin, and Taylor Robert. An event t-shirt and hat are also part of the package.
The 2024 KTM Adventure Rider Rally runs $350 per rider, with a $175 Meal Package offered for those accompanying riders, but not participating in the rides.
KTM has a webpage for riders to sign up for the 2024 KTM Adventure Rider Rally. Signing up in advance is suggested, as the size of the event is limited. KTM has negotiated special hotel rates at the Lodge at Deadwood, though you’ll have to call (877-393-5634) to get the deal at the gaming resort.
