For the first time since its introduction, the Indian Scout is getting an overhaul. The 2025 Indian Scout lineup of five models features an all-new V-twin motor, more technology, and three trim levels for each iteration. We will go into detail about each model in separate stories—there are links in the next paragraph—as there is quite a bit to talk about.
Common to all five models in the 2025 Indian Scout lineup—the Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, Sport Scout, Super Scout, and the flagship 101 Scout—is a new 76ci engine. The powerplant is still a DOHC, liquid-cooled, 60-degree V-twin. However, the displacement has been upped 7ci thanks to a 0.196-inch bore increase. For the metric fans, the motor is now 1250cc, up from 1133cc via a 5mm bore boost.
The new engine puts out 105 horses at 7250 rpm in four of the five new Indian Scout models—a five-horse increase over the preview Scout motor. However, the 101 Scout is tuned more aggressively, peaking at 111 horsepower at the same rpm. Peak torque output is the same across all five Scouts—82 ft-lbs at 6300 rpm.
Holding the new motor is a new steel frame designed to more easily accept accessories and modifications. Suspension travel and frame geometry are unchanged, with the Scout Bobber as an outlier in the 2025 Indian Scout lineup with shorter rear wheel travel.
The three Trim Levels provide three packages of features, though not all models can get all Trim Levels.
Standard Trim includes new LED lighting, an analog-style speedo with LCD inset, and ABS. This trim level is available for the Scout Classic, Scout Bobber, and Sport Scout—the Super Scout and 101 Scout are higher spec from the word go.
Moving up to Limited Trim adds electronic rider aids, including three ride modes, traction control, and cruise control. There’s also a USB charging port. The Classic, Bobber, and Super can all be had in this trim.
The Limited +Tech Trim is standard on the 101 Scout and Super Scout models, and an upgrade for Class, Bobber, and Super buyers. The Limited +Tech Trim gets you a four-inch TFT dash that uses Indian’s Ride Command software, which includes GPS and turn-by-turn navigation. As you’d expect, the dash pairs with your smartphone wirelessly. The Limited +Tech Trim also includes keyless ignition and one-touch starting.
Indian also offers four Accessories Collections to give riders a head start on Customization.
For weekend touring, the Overnighter Collection has many of the accessories a rider would want for getting away for a few days. A solo luggage rack is matched with Touring saddlebags and a tail bag. A 20-inch quick-release Touring windshield protects the rider, while floorboards give the feet a supportive platform.
Dovetailing with the Overnighter Collection is the Open Roads Collection. It gives the bike highway bars with pegs, floorboards for the rider and passenger, a low-profile backrest for the rider and a backrest pad for the passenger, and additional LED headlights.
The Commuter Collection is all about practicality. It has a comfortable Syndicate seat, adaptive LED headlight, upgraded Pinnacle mirror, Ram X-Grip phone mount, mid-position foot controls, and your choice of handlebar bend.
For pure style, the Stealth Collection is ready to go, though it also offers functionality. Ten-inch handlebar risers are brought in, along with blacked-out hand levers and Rizoma Radial RS mirrors. Bobber saddlebags allow you to carry some cargo easily. Although it’s called the Stealth Collection, the upgraded Scout Pathfinder LED headlight makes you more visible while enhancing your view of the road after dark.
